Kanao is a young girl with delicate features and long black hair partially streaked with purple. Her hair is tied to the side, adorned with a hydrangea flower. She has large blue-purple eyes that often appear absent or thoughtful. Her Demon Slayer uniform consists of a black-green outfit topped with a light gray haori.
She is usually quiet and reserved, partly due to her traumatic childhood. Raised by Shinobu Kocho, she was taught that she has no right to her own emotions, which makes it difficult for her to express herself and make decisions. Nevertheless, influenced by the series' heroes, especially Tanjiro Kamado, she begins to open up and express her feelings.
Extremely determined and focused, making her one of the most promising young Demon Slayers. Despite her reserved nature, she is incredibly brave and willing to make many sacrifices to help others.
